9/4/2019 Week 5
Last Week!

This is the last week of the MTC and I definitely am ready to leave but I don´t know if I´m truly READY to leave haha. I know it´s gonna be awesome and this month I have been trying to focus especially on Faith. I know that this is the Lord´s work as long as I have Faith in Him and if I´m doing what is right everything will go great!
This week I want to testify of some scriptures in Mosiah, especially verses 14 and 15 in Mosiah 24.  These are some of my favorite verses of all time! And they have been especially helpful to me in the MTC preparing to leave for the Mission field. The voice of the Lord comes to Alma and his people during a time of affliction. And the Lord says ¨I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs¨ and later it says ¨The Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord¨. I testify that this is true, as we pray for strength during times of hardship the Lord will be here to lift us up! This also goes along with one of my favorite scriptures, in D&C 90 that all things will work for the good of those who are obedient and love God. I promise to all of you that the Lord loves you. He knows you. He wants to bless you more than you can know. He wants you to live with Him again even more than you want your own salvation! And He will always be with you as long as we are striving to do what is right.
A few things I forgot to mention are that there are a bunch of armed guards around every building pretty much which is kinda scary and cool haha. Also last week when president Nelson spoke, his wife spoke about how we should be able to answer a lot of the questions we come across with ¨Because I know that the Book of Mormon is true¨ It is incredibly important that we know that the book of Mormon is true, and if we know that it is true it will influence every aspect of our lives.
Another experience from this week was that we had to go become a resident of Guatemala for us missionaries serving in Guatemala, and I had a small missionary practice. As we were waiting in line, one of the missionaries went and talked with a random person, I went along with him. We gave him a book of Mormon and asked him to read it. Then we said a little prayer with him while we were waiting in line. He was a little shy so I couldn´t tell how truly interested he was, but it was good practice for me, and I believe that he was affected positively from it.
This week has been the best week so far, and I know this is kinda dumb but the Creed quote from the office can be applied here perfectly. ¨No matter how you get there or where you end up, human beings have this miraculous gift to make that place home.” I honestly have come to love the MTC. At first it was tough, but I will miss it haha. The people here are incredible and honestly sometimes it feels like a home.
Also sorry I keep forgetting to answer the questions! I didn´t get to show the new guys around because the place is pretty small but they are seriously cool guys! I wear my contacts every day! finally got in the habit haha! yeah my favorite teacher is named Hermano Melgar. He is hilarious and seriously cool. He calls me Elder Kiss for Hershey kiss haha. He also plays super smash bros which is cool haha!   There are about 16 Elders going to my mission so we will ride a bus and leave early Tuesday.  It is a bout a 3 to 4 hour drive.  The ones going to farther missions like El Salvador have to leave about 2am.  We will be up and going by 4am.  It will be great to see the countryside and meet the mission president and his wife.

Thank you guys so much for your support and prayers I love you all!
