8/28/2019 Week 4
President Nelson!

Hey everyone! This week has been a great week! A lot of the elders say that this place feels like a prison, but it´s nothing like prison! I mean sure we can never leave, sure we wear the same thing everyday, and sure we have three set meals every day with 1 hour of rec time, and our rooms are under camera surveillance. No I´m just kidding this place is great! The elders here are some of the coolest people ever! Everything is going great here!
I finished my first time reading all the way through the Book of Mormon here, and we are reading the Book of Mormon again, and I am in Mosiah, and I read a verse in 1 Nephi that I wanted to share. Nephi and his brothers are quarreling a lot, and there is a verse that says as Lehi and Sariah are getting old, that they ¨Having suffered much grief because of their children¨ and I just hope I didn't cause my parents too much stress being too crazy of a kid haha. Anyways I got another letter and package and it helped me a ton. I love hearing about what is happening back home. Sounds like everything is great! A bunch of new missionaries arrived and the MTC is small but there are some really cool guys! None of the new missionaries are going to my mission though. A cool experience was that in our last district council we all said what we were struggling with and then our district leader prayed for us all individually by name and for our circumstances and it was powerful and very helpful.
Also the food is super good here. Some meals are not great but most of the food is amazing! We eat ice cream after lunch and dinner every day if we want, and it just made me think how much Kayli would love that!! Anyways thank you guys so much for your prayers and support. Also if you guys are reading the Doctrine and covenants I would ask you to carefully read sections 6 18 and 19. Oh also yesterday we watched a devotional from David A Bednar which was super good! He said that sometimes we don´t recognize the spirit in our lives because we can ¨always have Him to be with us¨ It was an amazing message and especially to the missionaries because he also said, something like ¨You don´t need to worry if you´re doing everything right, as long as you´re trying to do the work of the Lord and being obedient¨ And then he told us to read a part of D&C 80 that was a mission call to someone and it said, it mattereth not where you go for ¨Ye cannot go amiss¨ This is the work of the Lord, He is always with us, and because he is always with us, if we are striving to be obedient we cannot go amiss.
Also we got to go listen to President Nelson last Saturday in a huge conference devotional of 22,000 people!! When the prophet started speaking he began in English, but then he dismissed his translator and began speaking in Spanish the whole time! I didn´t understand every single word, but I got almost all of it! He talked about how the importance of keeping the commandments and how if we make sacrifices to keep the commandments we will be blessed! I know he is the prophet of God on the earth today, he loves us all, and I can see the love of the Savior in him. He receives revelation for all of the church, and if we follow him we cannot go amiss!
Again thank you so much for your prayers and support I love you all!
