8/14/2019  Week 2

It´s SO GREAT to hear from you guys, I honestly love to hear how everyone is doing! I miss you guys tons but it 
helps to hear what you are all doing! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! Sorry I couldn´t tell you yesterday haha. Also 
Happy Late Birthday to Karl and Lora!! And sorry if there is someone else I am missing.
Anyways This week was much much better than the first week. My roommates are awesome and we have been 
working on contacting and preparing to teach the first lesson. It is super cool to be able to express little ideas in 
Spanish that I know to be true. This week I read in D&C 18  and verse two is a revelation to Oliver Cowdery about 
how Heavenly Father testified unto him many times of the truthfulness of the work. I think it can also be 
personalized for many of us. Heavenly Father has given us so many witnesses of the truthfulness of His gospel, 
so now we have the duty to declare it to everyone! 
Last P-day we got to go to the temple which was super cool! The session was actually in English so it was at 
least possible to understand haha. It was super cool to see how God´s children everywhere have the opportunity 
to obtain the blessings of the Temple. I get to go to the temple again today and we will stop at Desert book store 
where we can buy some things  if we need them. My companion is great. He likes to play Hockey.  The food is 
pretty much just all Mexican food.  There is horchata but it is a warm version of it.  There are 8 people in my 
district but no sisters.  Next week they said we will get to go to the zoo probably.  The older elders said that is 
one of the best days.  The Elders here call me Elder Como Chocolate because of my last name.  We got a 
good room at the CCM with its own bathroom and shower.  The first 7 Elders I met when we were flying here 
were going to my same mission, but there are only 2 Elders in my district actually going to my mission. We get 
to go to the gym everyday and usually play basketball or volleyball.  Sometimes I run on the treadmill.  I have a 
few pictures but I´m not sure how to send them yet (sorry mom haha) I will try to send some soon though. 
Everything is still great here, I´ve loved learning Spanish as well as how to teach the Gospel. 
I love you guys so much! I´ll see you guys soon haha!

8/7/2019  Week 1 Hey everyone!! It´s been a crazy first week here at the MTC in Guatemala, I´ve learned a lot and am getting kind of used to the mission life. I hope you guys received the picture with all of the missionaries at the Salt Lake Airport. There was honestly about 40 missionaries on the flight I was on. The teachers here are awesome! The food is pretty good, and everyone here is super nice! My companion is super cool and he is really good at Spanish.  M y companion's name is Elder Charles (Charlie) Wagner. He is from Minnesota. I have not been to the temple yet but I am going today around 2:00.   They have encouraged us to read the Book of Mormon in 20 days, and we are going to read it twice here in the MTC. Anyways it´s been super cool and I´ve learned a lot! Guatemala is super cool! The city here is similar or even bigger than Salt Lake City. 9/11/2019  Week 6 Retalhuleu Mission Today is my first day in the field! Luckily today is P-day so it is a little less stressful. Anyways my companion is named Elder Quiñones, he is super cool! He is from Durango Mexico and he has been in this area for quite a while.  He is trying to speak English with me a little bit. He has been out for almost a year, and he has learned a lot of English from the other missionaries. He has already helped me many times, and it has only been one day. I think the Lord wanted to humble me on my first transfer, because my companion speaks mostly only Spanish, I already got sick on the first day, our apartment sink doesn´t work, and our shower is really cold. Sorry if it sounds like I´m complaining. I just wasn´t expecting all of this already haha. But seriously my companion is amazing, I don´t have any pictures yet but I will try to get some. Our area is one of the furthest away from the mission home.  We do have a microwave and a fridge...
